Our neonatology family will always be unbelievably saddened by the passing of Dr. Ralph Schrager in May 2016. It would not be an overstatement that Ralph was the soul of our group and showed us how to be better. His legacy will live in those who have learned from his heartfelt passion, sage experience, and warm kindness. We were so fortunate to have been able to call him our colleague and friend.

Dr. Schrager’s legacy lives on via the Dr. Ralph M. Schrager Memorial Fund. Among it’s many goals, the fund provides scholarships every year for a number of Jefferson Abington Hospital NICU graduates that are presented to families at our annual Ralph Schrager Memorial Golf Tournament. An avid golfer and dedicated neonatologist, Ralph always wanted to figure out a way to be able to play golf and help babies at the same time.
